2.2. We process the following personal information pertaining to you:

2.2.1. Personally identifiable information: such as your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, identity number, passport number and residential address;

2.2.2. We do not have access to your financial information, which is securely managed by a payment gateway or credit card agency. We may share or utilise this data with the payment gateway for the purpose of payment reconciliation and verification.

2.2.3. Location information, such as the geographical information collected from the device used to access our website;

2.2.4. Technical data and usage information, such as your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type and version, other technology you use on your device to access and engage with us on our website, content accessed and viewed by you on our website;

2.2.5. Marketing information such as your preferences in receiving marketing communication from us; and

2.2.6. CCTV footage obtained from our CCTV camera at our offices.

3.2.1. you consent to the processing of your special personal information;

3.2.2. the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of a right or obligation in law;

3.2.3. the processing is necessary to comply with an obligation of international public law;

3.2.5. the information has deliberately been made public by you.

We do not do process personal information concerning a child (a natural person under the age of 18 years), unless we have received prior consent from a competent person (any person who is legally competent to consent to any action or decision being taken in respect of any matter concerning a child) or when the processing of such information is necessary to comply with an obligation of an applicable law.

6.2.3. Law enforcement agencies, government or regulatory authorities, where required or compelled by the law to do so, or when we reasonably believe that the cause of action requires for us to do so;

You have a right to request RMI to confirm, free of charge, whether or not it has your personal information, and obtain the record or description of your personal information held by us, including information about the identity of all third parties, or categories of third parties, who have, or have had, access to your personal information:

I. within a reasonable time;

II. in a reasonable manner and format; and

III. in a form that is generally understandable.

10.2. A Right To Request For Correction Or Deletion Of Your Personal Information

You have a right to request RMI to correct or delete the personal information, which is in our possession or under our control, that is:

10.2.1. inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or obtained unlawfully, or

10.2.2. destroy or delete a record of your personal information that we are no longer authorised to retain in terms of POPIA and where applicable GDPR.

10.3. A Right To Lawful Processing Of Your Personal Information

You have a right to be notified when your personal information is being collected or accessed by an unauthorised person.

10.4. A Right Of Objection

You have a right to object, on reasonable grounds to the processing of your personal information, at any time for the purposes of direct marketing.

10.5. A Right To Submit A Complaint

You have a right to submit a complaint to the Information Regulator regarding an alleged interference with the protection of your personal information or to submit a complaint to the Information Regulator in respect of a determination of an adjudicator as provided for in terms of POPIA.
